Brad David Iverson

November 1, 1968 — May 9, 2023

Brad Iverson lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to his family and friends. Born on November 1, 1968, in Salem, Oregon, Brad's journey came to a close on May 9, 2023, in the same city where it all began. Throughout his time with us, Brad's selflessness, loving nature, and thoughtfulness touched the lives of all who knew him.

Raised by his parents, Irvin and Carol (Michele) Iverson, Brad grew up alongside his siblings, Kevin and Suzanne. After graduating from McNary High School in 1986, the home of the Celtics, Brad married Jennifer Phillips, with whom he was blessed with four wonderful children: Stefani, Bradley, Jessica, and Austin. Although their marriage ended in divorce in 1996, Brad's love for his children remained unwavering. In 1997, fate brought Jme into his life while working at WinCo, and they married in Silverton, Oregon on June 23, 2001.

Brad's love for his family extended beyond his children, as he cherished the moments he spent with his seven grandchildren: Lilia, Alexis, Paisley, Zion, Ampelina Savannah and Melise. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. The birth of his first grandchild in August 2006 marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life, filled with even more love and happiness.

Throughout his life, Brad was a dedicated worker and an active member of his community. As a shift supervisor at the WinCo Distribution Center from 1996 to 2014, he demonstrated his commitment to his colleagues and his work. In 2014, he began raising cattle on his family property in Gates, Oregon, a labor of love that brought him great joy.

Brad's passions extended beyond his professional life, as he spent over 30 years coaching youth sports, umpiring, volunteering to help shape the lives of the children he coaches over the years. No matter the event you would find him cheering on the kids no matter what. He also enjoyed reading Stephen King novels and cheering for the LA Dodgers.

An avid lover of the outdoors, Brad enjoyed bass fishing, camping, hunting, and simply being surrounded by his family. In honor of his dedication to his family, a trust has been established in his name: The Brad Iverson Grandchildren Educational Irrevocable Trust.

Preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Carol, Brad's legacy lives on through the lives of those he left behind. He is survived by his wife, Jme Iverson; children, Stefani Iverson, Bradley Iverson, Jessica (Randy) Lickie and Austin Iverson; siblings, Kevin (Laura) Iverson, Suzanne (Travis) Toepfer (Shelley and Gene); grandchildren, Lilia Dewalt, Alexis Dewalt, Paisley Iverson-Frazier, Zion Lickie, Ampelina Lickie, Savannah Lickie, Melise Lickie.

As we remember Brad, let us be inspired by the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson: "To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived, this is to have succeeded." Brad's life was a testament to this sentiment, as he touched the lives of countless individuals with his kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.

Brad Iverson's life serves as a reminder to us all of the importance of living a life filled with love, passion, and commitment to the people and activities that bring us joy. May we carry his memory with us, and strive to embody the selflessness, love, and thoughtfulness that defined his time on this earth.
