Boyd Glen Beaumont Jr.

Boyd was born in Stayton Oregon to Boyd Sr. And Ruth (Mitchell) Beaumont. He was raised in the Stayton/Turner area and graduated from Stayton High School in 1964. It was there that he met his wife of 60 years, Barbara McKay. They were married in April of that same year. Boyd and Barbara settled in Lyons in 1975 and have lived there since.

Boyd worked in the timber industry all of his adult life and retired from Freres Lumber in 2008. Boyd kept busy in retirement in his wood shop, on the river fishing or whitewater rafting.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father and his younger sister, Betty Hart.

He is survived by his wife Barbara his older sisters Elaine (Richard) Welman of Salishan Or and Cora (Leonard) Baker of Sodaville Or and children; Rodney of Salem, Mike (Debbie) of Turner, Shawn (Annie) of Lyons and Tammy (Kirk) Hall of Vancouver WA, grandchildren Casey, Brandon and Alexis, and several nieces and nephews.
