February 25. 1948 – March 21, 2012 Shaw, Oregon Beverly died peacefully at her home in Shaw.  Beverly grew up in Creswell.  She worked on her family’s farm and attended Creswell High School.  She married, and had four children, settling in Shaw in 1972. During her next forty years, she focused on being a loving mother, raising her children.  She was active in the Parents Club at Aumsville Elementary School, worked for Stayton Canning Co., Oregon Dept. of Revenue, and the Oregon Dept. of Forestry.  She earned an accounting degree from Chemeketa Community College.  Beverly loved cooking, baking, canning, reading, quilting, gardening, collecting rocks, the Oregon Coast, her coffee club, and her golden retriever Maxwell.   Things that made her happiest were her children and grandchildren, living her life devoted entirely to her family. Beverly is survived by her husband Charles Cooper, mother Augusta Johnston, sister Shirley Elliot, brother; Richard Elliot of Montana., daughter Angela (Robert) Perkey, Sublimity , sons; Bryan (Mindy)Walker, Brookings, Christopher Walker, Albany, Dustin Walker, Keizer.  of Brookings; grandchildren; Jordan and Morgan Perkey,  Lillian Walker; Her father Frank Elliot, and brother, Jim Elliot preceded her in death. A sweet woman with a heart of gold, Beverly will be remembered for her wisdom and will be missed more than words can say. “We would like to thank the Hematology/Oncology Dept. at Salem Hospital for the unconditional love and care they have provided over time” Beverly requested no formal service be held.
