Betty Zysset Patterson Mccollum

Betty Zysset Patterson McCollum, 86, of Sublimity, passed away March 10 at Santiam Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She is survived by her husband, Earl McCollum, four children, Kimery Patterson, Kelly Patterson, Kerry Patterson, and Kris Patterson and four step children, Kelly McCollum, Kerry Alkana, Kimberly McCollum and Kreg McCollum.
She was born May 16, 1936 in West Salem to Sam and Janet Zysset. She attended school in West Salem and Gervais and attained an Associate Degree In Business at Treasure Valley Community College.
She worked in the medical field and as an interviewer. After she and her husband retired they lived in Bend, Lebanon and Sublimity. During retirement they enjoyed traveling with Elderhostel and Oregon West.
She is also survived by three grandchildren, Elaine Lowell, Mitch Patterson and Matthew Patterson and one great grandson Owen Lowell; two step grandsons, Ian McCollum and David Alkana, and two step great grandchildren, Brianne and Kevin McCollum.
Betty was loving and generous of heart. She had a smile for everyone, loved flowers and loved to go visit her family.
