Betty Sue Hall was born on February 9, 1930, in Franklin, Kentucky, to Maurice and Ann George. She married Jack Kent in 1956 and the couple owned a travelling carnival and took their show to locations all over the United States and Canada. The couple had a grand life with endless stories about their adventures travelling and running a carnival. Betty and Jack divorced in 1973. She remarried to Harry Francis Hall, Jr. in 1976 and made their home together in West Virginia where they owned and ran a dry cleaning company. Harry and Betty were married until Harry’s death on December 29, 1990. After Harry’s passing, Betty moved to Oregon to be near her brother and nieces and nephews. Betty was as sweet as she was feisty. She was very intelligent and knew a lot of information about many different topics. In her free time Betty loved watching old western movies, reading, and crocheting. In 2012, Betty moved in with her niece-in-law, Karla George, who was her friend, constant companion, and caregiver until the end. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry, brothers Jimmy Maurice George and William George, and her nephew William C. George. She is survived by her beloved niece Karla George, nieces Deanna George and Cheryl Hogren, and nephews Richard George and Richard Morton. Betty will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery with Harry. Services will be held by family at a later date
