Betty A. Hutchings, born on April 8, 1944, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on July 5, 2024, in Salem, Oregon, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Betty was the beloved daughter of Beulah Elizabeth Cox and Anthony Guido Belluno. Her journey began in the vibrant city of Pittsburgh, where she embraced life with curiosity and a free-spirited heart. On September 18, 1970, she married the late Leonard Cecil Hutchings in Carson City, Nevada. Their union was a testament to enduring love and companionship.
For 78 years, Betty called California home. Betty's kitchen was her sanctuary. She delighted in preparing meals for her family, infusing each dish with love and creativity. The dining table was a place of laughter, storytelling, and shared memories.
A faithful Christian, Betty found solace in her unwavering belief. Betty cherished her family above all else. She was blessed with a daughter, her name sake, Betty Anne was her confidante and closest friend. Betty’s heart swelled with pride when she was blessed with grandchildren and a great grandchild.
In her twilight years, Betty followed her heart to Oregon, where she lived until her passing for the last two years. It allowed her to be closer to her daughter and family.
She was welcomed on the other side by her parents, Beulah and Anthony, and her siblings—Mary, Charlene, Toni, and Charles. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Anne Reitz; grandchildren, Kayla Hill, Christopher and Sandra Bovee and great-granddaughter, Davenay Hill.
