In Loving Memory of Barbara Jean Wright

Barbara Jean Wright, born on June 7, 1931, in Salem, Oregon to Thomas and Macel (Fish) Webb. Barbara gracefully departed from this world on October 11, 2023, in Stayton, Oregon, at the age of 92.

She grew up with her siblings, Delmer and Lilbern. After completing her high school education, Barbara devoted the rest of her life to her family. She married Melvin Wright on December 7, 1949 in Albany, Oregon. For 45 rewarding years, she called Mill City home, creating countless memories before relocating to Stayton in 2003, where she spent her remaining years.

Barbara's life was adorned with the beauty of nature, and she found great joy in her garden, nurturing it with love and care. Her other beloved pastime was reading, and she could often be found with a book in hand, lost in the world of literature. Her garden thrived, just as the wisdom she gleaned from her favorite novels enriched the lives of those who knew her.

However, what truly defined Barbara's life was the immense love she held for her family. Her unwavering dedication, selflessness, and the cherished moments shared with her children and grandchildren will forever be etched in their hearts. Her memory will continue to live on, woven into the tapestry of their lives.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Macel Webb; husband, Melvin Wright; brother, Lilbern Webb and a son, Jim Wright. She is survived by her children, Jeri Ledgerwood and Marie Henderson; grandchildren, Pam Bowles, Chris Ledgerwood, Lance Ledgerwood and Jeff Kent; brother, Delmer Wood.
