Audrey J. Walman

Audrey J. Walman August 2, 1930 – June 1, 2010 Salem, Oregon Audrey J. Walman was born in Astoria, Oregon on the 2nd day of Aug., 1930.  She passed away on June 1st in Salem.  She was 79, the daughter of Robert and Evi Basel. Audrey graduated from Astoria high school class of 1947. She was married to William Walman on March 4, 1951 in Astoria and they made their home in Astoria where she was a member of the Lutheran Church and the Ladies Golf League. They moved to Portland in 1952.  She had worked for 17 yrs. As a dental assistant in Astoria and Portland. They then moved to Stayton, Salem, Pendleton, Hood River, The Dalles and Idaho before settling in Salem 10 yrs. ago. She enjoyed knitting, playing bridge. In addition to her beloved husband, Bill of Salem, she is survived by her daughters, Peggy Jo of Keizer, Kristin Espell of Stayton; sisters, Corrine Hedeen , Roberta Riutta & Carol Wolfram all of Astoria.; 3 grandchildren, Erika Espell, Shane Glidewell and Samantha Espell. Memorial service will be Sat. June 5th at 2:00 pm at Peace Lutheran Church, Astoria, OR.  Private interment at Ocean view Cemetery in Astoria. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
