Arlyss Claretta Feller, age 88, passed away on May 9, 2020 in Salem. Arlyss was born on December 9, 1931 in North Dakota. She grew up on the family farm and attended school in a one room schoolhouse. In 1961, Arlyss and her family moved to Oregon. She missed living in North Dakota, and she greatly missed her family. Every year, she (along with her husband and children) would take a two-week trip back to visit her family. The road trips were exciting, and they often took different routes to see all of the sights! Arlyss attended Christ The Good Shepherd Church, and she loved her church family. She was involved in the Sons of Norway for many years and was proud of her Norwegian Heritage. She was a hard worker, and the majority of her career was spent as a housekeeper. She enjoyed listening to country music (especially Charlie Pride), folk music and the accordion, planting flowers and making sure her birds had a house. She played the piano, made delicious food and loved her family and friends. Her favorite color was blue, and she loved bedazzled items. She will always be remembered for her kind heart, and her willingness to help anyone in need if she could. She will be greatly missed! Arlyss is survived by her siblings, Harley Olson and Phyllis Rosenau; her children, JoAnne Hillyer, Larry Feller (wife, Polly) and Beverly Feller; her grandchildren, Troy, Chase, Kim, Shayne, Malinda, Lisa, Andrea, Allyssa, Tonya, Mandy and Brandon; her great-grandchildren, Derik, Clare, Brock, Matt, Evan, Sara, Camilla, Parker, Joshua, Elijah, Ronald, Kara, Casandra, Chelsy and Destiny; and her great-great-grandchildren, Azalya, Grayson, Noah, Arebella, Emma and 1 due in December! At her request, no services will be held.
