Annelise Lynn Williams, born January 7, 1969, in Woodland Hills, California, was the only child of William Steven and Katrin (Gunka) Jurdan. When she was young the family moved to the Monterey Peninsula where she spent the rest of her childhood years, graduating from Pacific Grove High School in 1987. In February of 1990, Annelise met Matthew E. Williams and the couple had their first date on Valentine’s Day. They fell head over heels and were married almost immediately. Annelise and Matt welcomed two sons who were the light of both their lives. It was important to the couple that Annelise stay home with the boys while they were little, so she drew on her caregiving heart and was able to provide daycare to other children to help make ends meet. Once the boys were school age, she took work outside the home in the hospitality industry. She spent ten years with the Pebble Beach company and loved her work there and enjoyed the people she worked with. Annelise made many lasting friendships during this time. She went on to work for Spanish Bay for a short time and then spent ten years at Pebble Beach Golf Reservation. Through the years, Annelise always loved to cook and bake and enjoyed playing hostess to friends and family, especially hanging out and barbequing. Just like her mom, Annelise loved the finer things in life and had good and expensive taste. Being social as she was, she enjoyed home parties like Pampered Chef to compliment her love of being in the kitchen and Partylite to indulge her love of candles. A lover of all animals, Annelise began taking college classes while she was working and earned her associate’s degree for Veterinary Technician. She rescued her beloved boxer/pug mix, Sadie, as a puppy from a shelter and loved spending time with her and taking her for walks on the beach. She was also very fond of cats and had several over the years. When she moved up to Oregon in 2017 to help care for her ailing father, Annelise had hoped to find work as a Vet Tech, but unfortunately was never able to accomplish that goal. Annelise unexpectedly passed away at her home in Gates, Oregon, on August 29, 2020. Annelise will be remembered as a beautiful woman, full of life, with stunning blue eyes and contagious and infectious smile and laugh. Her charming and friendly personality endeared her to anyone she met, and she made good friends easily, always knowing just what to say. Annelise had a great sense of humor and could always draw a laugh with her impersonations of people and foreign accents. Her mom would always tell her that she missed her calling and should have been a comedian. Annelise was preceded in death by her dad William. She leaves behind a heartbroken family, including her husband of over 30 years, Matthew E. Williams; sons Matthew S. Williams and Dylan (Aisley Davis) Williams; mom Katrin Gunka; and uncle Jerry Jurdan. The family will hold a private celebration of her life.
