Anna Mary “Annie” Wadsworth, age 80, passed away on January 19, 2020 in Salem, Oregon. She was born on July 8, 1939 in Hay Springs, Nebraska to Ernest and Alzina (Gillette) Coleman. She was one of ten siblings. Her father was a potato farmer, and her mother was a homemaker. Annie graduated from High School in 1957. Just a few days after graduation she married the love of her life, Scott Wadsworth, on May 16, 1957. After a short stay in Florida they settled in Salem, Oregon in late summer of 1962 with their two children, Joe and Cindy. They eventually moved to Aumsville in 1968, where she lived the rest of her life. Annie worked as a bookkeeper for family businesses. She was a wonderful homemaker, and her family will fondly remember her wonderful baking and cooking. She made the most delicious bread, cinnamon rolls, pies and cakes. She also made delicious jam. Annie was deeply involved in her church. She played piano and the organ for a good portion of her life at church, as well as helping lead Sunday school classes and children’s church. She was a world traveler and traveled to 30 countries! She served as a cook for her church’s mission team, which took her on many great adventures. Her presence at the First Church of the Nazarene will be greatly missed. Annie is survived by her husband, Scott; her two children, Joe (wife, Ruby) and Cindy; grandchildren, Justin, Jim, Corey, Brandon and Sarah; granddaughters in law Angela, Rachel and Jessica; and five great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn ,Jaime, Jacob, Haley and Klover. A Memorial Service will be held on January 28, 2020, 2:00 pm at the First Church of the Nazarene in Salem. She will be laid to rest at the Aumsville Cemetery. Memorial Contributions in Annie’s honor can be given to the Union Gospel Mission or to the First Church of the Nazarene (missions fund).
