Anita 'Winky ' Wilson-Colm slipped the bonds of Earth peacefully on June 4th.Born in Memphis ,TN to Billy Murphy and Eugene Wilson on November 15, 1950. She is proceeded in death by her parents and her brother, Eugene Wilson of Lucedale, Mississippi. Winky grew up and as attended school in Memphis. She was an active part of the community. From sitting on the Fashion Board as an Aunjanue, then a Bobbie Brooks model. Her family traveled extensively through the USA. Her favorite places were Destin, Florida and the rugged West. She graduated from the University of Knoxville in Home Sciences. Her first job was working at the Grand Teton Lodge in Wyoming. Her profession took her to boardroom kitchens as a chief from Texas to California. She moved to Salem, Oregon in 1995 and continued as a caterer and Interior Designer. Her home had been featured in magazines and books. Her style was eclectic, timeless and genius. Winky collected friends and doted on her beloved pets. Her pets were treated like royalty, a true animal lover. As you travel through this life you meet many people, but you only get on chance to met someone like Winky. Her sharp wit, unmatched perception and quicksilver intellect. She will be sorely missed. Heaven needed a designer, we will watch for her in the colorful sunrises and sunsets. Rest in Peace, dear friend.
