January 14, 1944 — March 16, 2024

Andris Edvins Tomps, born on January 14, 1944, in Riga, Latvia, to Karl and Edite Tomps, passed away on March 16, 2024. He was a devoted son, husband, father, and papa.

In 1971, Andris married Pamela in Nebraska, and together they built a life filled with love and cherished memories. Their union was blessed with four children: Erik, Nicole (Craig), Adam (Shannon), and Cory (Rebecca). Andris adored his grandchildren—Zachary, Gavin, Chase, Reagan, and Morgan—whose laughter and joy brightened his days.

Andris was a man of many passions. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1971, a testament to his commitment to education. His service in the Air National Guard for six years and achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant, demonstrated his dedication to duty and country.

An avid Nebraska football fan, Andris cheered for the Huskers with unwavering loyalty. Beyond the football field, he found solace in working on his beloved 1972 Mustang Mach 1, tinkering with its engine and restoring it to its former glory.

But above all, Andris cherished time spent with family. Whether gathered around the dinner table, sharing stories, or embarking on family adventures, he treasured every moment. His warm smile, kind heart, and steadfast love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

Andris Edvins Tomps leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and the enduring bonds of family. May he rest in peace.
