Allen Joseph Greiner

Allen Joseph Greiner July 24, 1945 – May 18, 2015 Turner, Oregon Allen was born in The Dalles, Oregon to Helen and Paul M. Greiner Sr. His family moved to Salem, Oregon in 1955. Allen attended St. Joseph Grade School and Junior High, and North Salem High School. He married Gloria Louise Greiner at St. Joseph Catholic Church on July 24, 1965 in Salem, Oregon, and together they raised two sons. Allen worked as a carpenter and retired as a plumber. He enjoyed working in his yard, working on cars, hunting, fishing, and tinkering. Allen also liked to socialize, and was a past member of the Salem Eagles and Keizer Elks. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Sr. and Helen; brother Paul Jr.; and sister Mary. He is survived by his wife Gloria; sons Jeff (Lillian) and John (Dina); siblings George (Eva), Yvonne landers of Salem, Marjorie (Roland) Steiner of Florida, Anita Charpentier of Salem, and Ada (Kirk) Thiems of Salem; sister-in-law Carolyn, widow of Paul Jr.; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 9168 Silver Falls Hwy (Hwy 22, exit 7). Following the service, there will be a reception across the street from the church. In lieu of flowers, donate to Providence Benedictine Nursing Center Foundation, 540 S Main St, Mt.
