Alfred Lewis Woodworth

March 22, 1931 February 28, 2012 Al was born in Hornbrook, California to Bruce and Nora Woodworth.  He had an older brother Robert who preceded him in death.  While still in grade school the family moved to Ceres, California where Al finished High School.  He went to Western Baptist School (Corban University) when it was located in Oakland, California.  There he met his wife, Shirley.  They married on March 10, 1951.  They had four children; Ruth, Marilyn, Judi and Ken.   Al and Shirley moved to Oregon in 1975 and in 1976 started working at Corban University, then Western Baptist.  During the time that they worked there they fed numerous students and friends on Sunday afternoons.  Students stayed at their home during Holidays and summers.   Their door was always open.   Al is survived by daughters; Ruth (Todd) Moore, Judi (Randy) Cranston, and son, Ken Woodworth, former daughter in law, Gale Woodworth, nineteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley in 2002, daughter, Marilyn in 2001. Memorial Service will be Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stayton Christian Church. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services Stayton, OR.
