Aileen Fay Armstrong May 29, 1928 ~ May 14, 2010 Aileen Fay Armstrong, 81, died on May 14, 2010, in Gates, OR, after an illness of a few months. Aileen was the daughter of the late George F. Armstrong and Lona May Cranford. Born in Barry, WA, Aileen spent much of her life on the South Carolina, California and Oregon coasts. She enjoyed the beach, gardening, and cats. Surviving sons are Michael Cranford, Kenneth Kalmbach, Phillip Johnston, David Johnston, and Ronald Johnston. Surviving sisters are Mrs. Larry (Maxine) Johnston, Barbara Johnson, and Donna Witt. Aileen is predeceased by a son, Steven Kalmbach. A private family memorial will be observed in July. The family wishes to thank the Schlies family at Green Mt. Ranch Adult Care Home in Gates, OR for the excellent care they gave Aileen.
