Adrienne D. Kinney of Scio, Oregon, passed peacefully at Santiam Hospital on February 2. Adrienne, the only child of Paul Henry Sherman and Sibyl Jessie Hyde, was born in Portland and lived in Oregon Most of her life. In 1952 she married Clark E. “Corky” Conner, with whom she had four children: Leslie, Kim, Jeff, and Julie. Corky died of encephalitis in 1958. In 1960 she married Robert S. Graham and had two more children, Tony and Scott. That marriage ended in divorce. In 1986 she married Jack F. Kinney. Together, they purchased a farm in Scio, lovingly named WinterCreek. Mom always told her eldest daughter regarding the marriages, "Honey, I'm just looking for your your father." She found him in Jack and so did we. Adrienne worked as a human resources employee for the Stayton Canning Company/NORPAC in Stayton for decades, retiring in 1993. Adrienne will be remembered by all who knew her for her adventurous spirit and sense of humor. After the 1997 death of her son Scott, who was a world-ranked competitive extreme skier, Adrienne and Jack started a memorial fund in his honor. For 10 years the fund provided financial support and equipment to high school skiers around the state. Accomplished in oil and water painting and ceramics, Adrienne was also an avid swimmer and a member of Toastmasters. She also was very active in the United Way as a volunteer and spokesperson. The Conner family name is immortalized on I-5 at exit #239 southbound (Dever-Conner). “Ani” is survived by her husband Jack; son Tony Graham; daughters Julie Goodyear, and Kim Spir; and stepchildren Sue Order, Linda Bewley, and Joel Kinney. Due to COVID restrictions, there will be no service at this time. In lieu of flowers, please honor Adrienne with a tribute donation to the Michael J.
