Adra Lue Hughes was born on January 31, 1990 in Salem, Oregon to John Hughes and Dorothy Lane. Along with her siblings, Adra was named after an author in her parent’s favorite books. She grew up attending Santiam and Lebanon Schools and throughout her life always was known for big heart. Especially when it came to animals, Adra would rescue animals and work with problem horses.
Her best days were spent outdoors hiking, fishing, riding horses and spending time with her family. She loved making people’s day brighter and always helped anyone in need.
Adra was also a hard worker and would hold various jobs such as a heavy equipment operator, rock crusher, Fed Ex and most recently a Mill Operator at Bear Mountain in Brownsville.
The best and greatest job that Adra held was that of a mom to her daughters, Leah June Parkins and Daisy Anne Florez. She loved her girls to the moon and back.
On February 9, 2023, Adra left this world far too early at only 33 years of age leaving many broken hearts. She is survived by her father, John L. Hughes; mother, Dorothy Deanne Castro; siblings, Corry Lee Lane, Bobby Lee Lane, Tara Rae Hughes, Garion Hughes, Carlisa Marie Castro-Burgess, Michael John Castro, Joseph Robert Castro, and Steven Ray Castor.
