Jean was born in Amity, Oregon, she loved to travel, she loved the desert, especially Fort Rock and Quartsite, AZ. She was employed at the Whidbey Island Naval Base, as a laundress. She worked for the Waverly Baby Home in Portland. She moved to Breitenbush, and worked in the bath house. She was the very first Head Start driver in Salem. She was given the privilege of selecting their vans. She chose the Dodge brand. She was employed as a cook for Loaves and Fishes and the Bureau of Land Management. She had many hobbies and interests. Needle works, kite flying, puzzles of all kinds, She had a strong interest the Blind School, The Bus Barns, The Chemawa Indian School, not to mention her love of the Oregon Historical Covered Bridges. Jean was preceded in death by Clyde, Bob, Paul, Max, Carol, and survived by Vivian, Ruby, Susan, Mary, Mike, grand children, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
