It is with profound sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of Lucas Allen Forbes, affectionately known as "Bear", who entered this world on April 17, 1993, in Salem, Oregon. Luke tragically left this world on January 26, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Lucas “Bear” was taken from us by the hands of someone who should have cherished him, leaving a profound sense of anger, pain, and emptiness in our hearts. Lucas was a dedicated son, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He had an infectious smile and heart of gold
He leaves behind a 13-year-old daughter, Autumn Rayne Forbes, his mother Shawna Hopkins, sister Katie May, Nephew Caleb, and brother Casey, as well as countless friends and family members who will forever carry his legacy forward.
Lucas was only 30 years old, Lucas was a vibrant presence in the lives of those around him. Lucas also leaves behind his beloved dog Juul and one kitty (Squirt). Professionally, Lucas dedicated himself to the fields of mental health and nursing, recently earning his CNA Certification.
His service in the Army at the age of 17, spanning over three years, exemplified his commitment to duty and honor. In his leisure time, he pursued his passion for music, eagerly learning to play the guitar, and found joy in gaming with his daughter and friends, as well as simply spending time with everyone he knew.
Lucas will forever be remembered for the warmth of his smile, the twinkle in his bright blue eyes, and his infectious laughter. His endearing quirks, including his famously awkward "shuffle" dancing and his larger-than-life personality.
