Julia Toepfer Field

Julia Toepfer Field August 3, 1919 – December 9, 2010 Mt. Angel, OR Born in Stayton the 14th of 15 children to John Michael and Margaret (Riedel) Toepfer , she grew up in Coon Hollow, Stayton area.    Contracting polio at the age of 11 her indomitable spirit gave her the strength to overcome many challenges through life.   Julia worked as a caregiver, secretary and skilled homemaker.  She married William M. Field in Portland and shared 16 years with him until he preceded her in death.   She was a Godly woman who demonstrated love by her dedication to Church and Family.  She is survived by her brother, Johnny Toepfer of Mill City, OR and over 70 Nieces and Nephews.   The Rosary will be recited Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 both at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Sublimity, OR Contributions: In Memory of Julia Toepfer Field C/O  St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery Upkeep , 375 SE Church St.  Sublimity, OR 97385.
