Joel Damen Montoya

Joel Damen Montoya was born November 21, 1974 in Lebanon, Oregon to Frank Montoya and Mary Wornstaff. Joel was raised in Scio, Oregon by his loving parents Frank and Theresa Montoya. He was the oldest of three having both a brother and sister who looked up to him. Joel would go on to graduate from Scio High School in 1994 before going into the workforce. During his lifetime he would work as a warehouse associate in multiple industries. Joel was a kind-hearted soul who loved his family. He had a passion for sports, going to the beach, camping, and spending time with his loved ones. He was outgoing, humorous, and always the life of the party. He was always generous with his time and his gifts. We are thankful for the time we had with him, and Joel will be dearly missed. We pray for his soul to rest with God in peace. Joel passed away on August 10, 2018 in Scio, Oregon. He is survived by his daughter Kendra Montoya, parents Frank and Theresa Montoya, and birth mother Mary Wornstaff, sister Sara (Steve), brother Chad (Nicole), nieces, as well as his extended family.
