James Roger Crandall was born on January 13, 1948 in Chico, California to Golden Ray and Eileen Wilma (Comer) Crandall. He spent most of his life in Alaska and always considered it his home, even when he lived in Hawaii, Washington, Arizona, Mexico or Oregon. Jim worked as an Oilfield Electrician for well over 40 years in Alaska. It was while he was living in Alaska that he met Linda Gage Jones. The two would marry on February 12, 1996 in Las Vegas, Nevada. In his spare time Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, flying his Cessna, fixing anything with a motor and remodeling houses. On January 7, 2021 Jim passed away in Albany, Oregon at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House from Frontal Temporal/Alzheimer's dementia. He was preceded in passing by his parents Golden and Eileen. He is survived by his wife Linda; daughters Chelsa and Camille; 4 Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Grandchildren and many loving family members that he gained by marriage. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Conifer House Memory Care in Corvallis and Evergreen Hospice in Albany for the care and compassion that they showed Jim and his family during his time spent there.
