A service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 4pm at Stayton Seventh-day Adventist Church for Virginia C. Bange who passed away on February 24, 2018 at the age of 95. Jinny was born on December 22, 1922 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Clyde and Maude (Young) Le Fevre. She was the eldest of 6 other siblings. Growing up the family had a large vegetable garden and sold their extra produce at a roadside stand. This was most likely the beginning where Jinny grew to love plants and gardening. While a senior in high school, Jinny met her future husband William “Bill” Bange. They married on June 1, 1941. This was a special day for two reasons, in the morning she became a baptized member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and in the evening was married. Jinny and Bill were incredibly faithful, and volunteered as Pathfinder Leaders for 30 years. Ginny worked as a treasurer for her church for over 30 years as well. Jinny helped Bill with his logging/sawmill business, but her main focus was being at home with her children. Throughout her life she continued to garden, and was an avid reader. Eleven years ago she made a decision to move from the East Coast to Aumsville, Oregon to live with her daughter. Jinny loved the Pacific Northwest and made this her home. Most recently Jinny was a part of the Red Hat Association. She will be remembered by all who knew her for a bright smile. She was pre-deceased by her husband, William and son James. She is survived by her children, Rosalie Liljeros, Wanda (Cliff) Carpenter, Timothy (Sidra) Bange, Joseph (Leona) Bange; 3 sisters, Mary Bensel, Julie Bare and Lillian Moul. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Jinny’s name to Adventist World Radio or Willamette Valley Hospice. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Service.
