With his family by his side, Murley Larimer died November 30 from an aortic aneurysm. He was born in Monrovia, California, on April 2, 1926. His mom and dad moved to Oregon in 1939 in a Model-A Ford. He lived most of his life on his beloved farm near Stayton. In January 1944, he joined the Navy. He served on LST 957 as a Motor Machinists
We are in Yuma, AZ and can not get back home in time to attend the funeral, but I want you to know my thoughts and prayers are with you. It is so difficult to have this separation from one so loved – yet, what great joy he is experiencing now that he is with our Lord! I look forward to that day when the Canyon Baptist old timers have that great reunion in Heaven and I know Murley will be there waiting along side Jesus – probably with a quip about what took us so long. Sending a hug to each of you.
