Shannon was born on November 5th, 1964 in Salem Oregon to Arley and Delores Orr.
He resided in Stayton Oregon where he raised 4 children. Shannon was known for his genuine personality and love for his children and grandchildren. He will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.
Shannon left this earth on December 8th, 2017. He is survived by his Father: Arley Orr. Brother: David Orr. Wife: Debbie Orr. Children: Brandi Etzel, Brandon Orr, Brittney Keys, Courtney Barringer, Bryce Orr and several adoring Grandchildren: Macy, Justin, Lilianna, Collin, Lindsay, Haven, Emma and Easton.
A celebration of life will be held on January 6, 2018 at 2PM at his youngest daughter Brittney’s home: 314 SW Kingwood Ave Mill City, Oregon.

David Gene Hov passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on November 4, 2017 after a 9 month battle with lymphoma. David was born September 23, 1949, and spent his younger years exploring Rainier, Oregon with his brothers. As a teenager, he and his family moved to Gladstone, where he attended West Linn High School. He met Pam, his first wife, shortly before he joined the Navy and served in the Vietnam War. Dave and Pam were married September 4, 1970. They welcomed their first daughter, Angie, in October 1975, followed by their second daughter, Melinda in October 1978. Dave spent his career as a truck driver, hauling gasoline and oil for Unocal for over 30 years. He met his second wife, Becky, and they were married on April 11, 1992. In 1996, they moved to Phoenix where Dave worked for KAG Gas until he retired in April 2012. In 2015, they moved to the Salem area. In his spare time, Dave enjoyed completing projects around the house. At their home in Stayton, he built an awesome shed. He was very proud of this accomplishment! He also enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He was always talking about taking them to the lake to go fishing. Dave is survived by his wife Becky; brothers Steve (Deb) and Doyle (Laurie); daughters Angie and Melinda (Gregg) and grandchildren Corbin (12) and Hadley (10); step sons, Mark (Tracy) and Randy (Missy) and grandchildren Makenzie (16), Mason (14), Kayden (10). A memorial service will be held Friday, November 10, 2017 at 1:30pm at Weddle’s Chapel.

Marie Fenwick, age 86, of Stayton, Oregon, passed away Saturday, September 30th at McKillops Residence in Sublimity, Oregon.
Marie was born in Beverly, Massachusetts, and graduated from Beverly High School class of 1948. Marie was the last surviving child of the late William and Leonne (St. Jean) Patch. Marie’s college education included a 4 year teaching degree. In 1954 she traveled from Massachusetts to Mesa, Arizona, where she taught 2nd grade for 7 years. In 1961, Marie left Arizona and drove the Alcan Highway to pursue her teaching career in the new state of Alaska. In 1965 she met her husband C.J. Fenwick at the PTA. C.J. was a widower with four children. They were married later that year. After retiring, Marie and C.J. moved to Stayton in 1975 where they spent many wonderful years in the home they built in the Kingston Jordan valley outside of Stayton.
Marie was a devoted lifelong Catholic and developed many close friendships with the people of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Stayton. She also enjoyed golf and her friendships with the ladies of the Santiam Golf course. Marie was an accomplished artist and enjoyed the time spent applying her craft in her art studio. Marie was fiercely independent, uncompromising in her faith, and devoted to love of family, friends, and country.
Along with her parents and husband, Marie was preceded in death by her two brothers, Richard and Robert Patch, and her stepdaughter Patricia Nolan. Marie is survived by three stepchildren, Mike (Lace) Fenwick, John (Linda) Fenwick, Kelly (Ric) Salata, and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
There will be a Prayer Vigil for Marie on Friday, October 13th at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at the Immaculate Conception Parish in Stayton, Oregon.

Maria (Mary) Reyes was born in Colorado City, Texas to Marcelino and Ernestina (Silva) Hernandez.

  She was the eldest and longest living of 12 children. She was preceded in death by one son, Tony Reyes in 1993.

 She and husband, Felix Reyes of 56 years, raised nine children. They have 22 grand children, 34 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
Rosary will be Wednesday 6:00 PM at The Immaculate Conception church and  funeral service on Thursday at 11:00 AM.

Internment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic cemetery Stayton, Oregon.

Sharon was born in the historic Brown House, formerly Stayton Hospital, to Hubert and Mary Meyerhofer. She participated in drama during high school, graduating from St. Boniface in 1955. Sharon married Jim Frichtl on October 12, 1957, and together they raised their son Aaron. She started her career working for the State of Oregon before moving on to Bishop’s Clothing Store in Salem. Sharon later worked as a teller for First National Bank and then for Home Federal Savings, both in Stayton. She moved on from there to work at The Stayton Mail as well as Our Town, which she was part owner/founder of. She truly cared about her clients in advertising, and it showed. Sharon enjoyed shopping and gardening and was a fun-loving person. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by so many.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Ted and Andrew. She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Jim, her son Aaron, her grandson Zalen, and her brother David. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Jul 23, 2017, at 4:00 p.m. at the Stayton Seventh-day Adventist Church on Fern Ridge Road. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle funeral Services. Virginia was born in Los Angeles, California, to Irving and Cedle Grant. She married Virgil Fleenor and they served the Lord as missionaries for 40 years. Virginia was preceded in death by her children Dana and John. She is survived by her husband; sons Stephen (Carol) and Joe; and daughters Julia, Grace, and Laurie.

Jeannette Parrish was born in Corvallis, Oregon.  She passed away on Tuesday the 18th in Stayton.  She was 72.  Jeannette was married to Richard “Rick” Parrish on December 10, 1976 at Deer Park on the Little North Fork of the Santiam River.  Together they made their home in Stayton.  She was a homemaker and was very involved with the Stayton Manta Ray Swim Team.  She also worked at the Stayton Cannery for a number of years. She baked wedding cakes and had worked as a manager and bartender at the Riverview Inn and Fish Hatchery Tavern, both in Mehama. She enjoyed riding horses, gardening, camping, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and drives to the mountains and beaches.

In addition to her beloved husband, Richard Parrish, she is survived by her siblings, Phil Mason, Diane Foster, Alice Irene Meirose, George Turner, Walt Turner, Pat Kitzhaber and Sandy Boedigheimer; children, Rick (Karen) Boedigheimer, Rex (Margaret) Boedigheimer, Tony (Tammy) Parrish, Tina Westling, Laura (Dan) Houston, Jody (Rob Sills) Boedigheimer; grandchildren Tommy and Dawn Murphy, Marlys Thomas, Joshua and Gloria Sills, Joel and Danika Boedigheimer, Kevin Boedigheimer, Matt and Jordan Shaw, Chris and Aubrey Sills, Megan and Samuel Sills-Schroeder, Jolene Boedigheimer, Andrea Westling, Paige Westling, Samantha Houston, Emily Parrish-Vickery, and Zachery Houston; Great Grandchildren, Camden Reyes, Sethan Boedigheimer, Jasmine Sills, Michael Shaw, Anneliese Thomas, Leland Thomas, Samuel Schroeder, Xander Boedigheimer, Declan Murphy, Owen Shaw, Madison Schroeder and Wesley Sills.

Viewing is scheduled for Friday, April 21 from 1-4 p.m. at Weddle Funeral Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held at Weddle Funeral Chapel on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a graveside service at Lone Oak Cemetery in Stayton. A potluck reception will be held following the service at St. Patrick’s Hall, 362 Seventh Street in Lyons.

Stephen, 88, Sunriver, OR, was born January 8, 1929, to Metro and Eva in Cresson, PA, the 11th of 12 children. He passed away on April 3, 2017, in Sunriver, OR. He attended Shade Township schools in Cairnbrook, PA and following in his father’s footsteps, mined coal. He met his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Ann (Delasko), of Central City, PA, who preceded him in death in 2011. While living in Cleveland, OH and Tucson, AZ, Stephen enjoyed a thirty-year career with American Airlines. He spent his retired years in Salem and Stayton, OR. He was an accomplished wood carver, accordion player, and guitarist as well as a fiddle player with the Oregon Old Time Fiddler’s Association. Stephen is survived by his sons, William (Dianna) of Jefferson, OR; Stephen of Medford, OR; Mark (Rosandra) of Silverdale, WA; daughter, Stephanie (Scott) Hartung of Sunriver, OR; grandchildren, Melissa, Kimberly (Jed) Tate, Matthew, Cameron, Laura and Julie; step-grandchildren, Brandy (Joey) Hill and Kelly Seeley; step-great-grandchildren, Lindsay, Kaeli and Leah Hill; and great-grandchildren, Zaydree and Wyatt. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 8th at 11:00, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Sublimity, OR, followed by burial at the church cemetery. Stephen was very proud of all of his children and grandchildren and loved them dearly.
